Wyatt’s Story

Wyatt was a Warrior, courageous, brave and always optimistic.

Wyatt Page was a typical 12-year-old who loved to watch and play sports like basketball, soccer, golf, football, etc. He enjoys Star Wars, Harry Potter, Legos, hanging out with friends, playing pool or video games with friends and family, etc.

On March 18th, 2018 we found out Wyatt had a tennis ball size tumor in his brain after having headaches for 6 weeks that led to double vision. He was admitted to Primary Children’s hospital and underwent a 5-hour surgery on March 19th, 2018. We found out 3 days after his surgery that his tumor was called Supratentorial Anaplastic Ependymoma which is a form of brain cancer. There are 200 kids nationwide with Wyatt’s kind of cancer each year. Here in Utah there are only 5 or 6 kids per year with his kind of cancer and only 2 or 3 that reoccur.

Wyatt endured 5 surgeries, 96 radiation treatments, many pokes, MRI’s, hospital stays, extensive tests, medications and traveled out of state to Memphis, TN and Seattle, WA for months at a time all between March 18th, 2018 until his passing on January 14th, 2020. He never once complained and always had a smile on his face.

Wyatt was a Warrior, courageous, brave and always optimistic. Cancer is a rough rollercoaster ride and makes children grow up too fast. It has given our family the opportunity to travel to new locations, meet new people, and make new friends along the way. We are grateful to the many doctors, nurses and staff that have helped us along our journey.

Wyatt’s last request was to bring comfort and a distraction to other children going through cancer and treatment. He was able to help to pick out fabric, toys, beanies, and stuffed animals to go into what is now called Wyatt’s Comfort Bundles.  He was able to help put together and deliver 106 of his comfort bundles to Primary Children’s Hospital and Huntsman Cancer Institute before he passed away. As his parents we continue to fulfill his request of bringing comfort to kids still going through cancer and have completed 1040 bundles so far.
